Students serving in the reserves
Gordon Academic College values those who serve in the reserves and offers a framework of academic adjustments, support and help.
What to do
- Send your call-up order
Send the Dean of Students your emergency call-up order, and Form 3010 when your reserve duty ends.
- Partners
Parents of children up to age 13 whose partner is in the reserves send a copy of their ID card and its appendix, and their partner's call-up order.
- Adjustments
The reserve duty coordinator updates the teaching staff, and anyone who needs an adjustment turns directly to the head of department.
- Emotional support
Free help from the NATAL association for trauma treatment, a 24/7 line on *3362.
