How the studies are built
Departments and formats
Departments in a three-year format: mathematics (primary), social and community education, primary education, science, sustainability and environment, Hebrew language, Bible, literature, communication, and Israeli culture and heritage.
Departments in a four-year format: a combination of two departments from the list, as well as special education, English, mathematics (secondary) and early childhood.
The degree and teaching certificate come to between 90 and 106 credits, depending on the departments.
Teaching methods
The teaching methods are varied, to prepare you to teach in the 21st century: project-based learning, the flipped classroom, advanced technologies, leading entrepreneurial processes, tours and field experience.
Hands-on practice
Practice in schools, kindergartens and other educational settings is a central pillar. Every student is placed with a mentor teacher or kindergarten teacher and accompanied by a pedagogical instructor from the college. Each semester includes a week of continuous practice, five days in a row, and in the third year ten days at the start of the school year.
Tuition
Tuition is at university rates, set by the Council for Higher Education, and does not include additional charges. You can check whether you are eligible for scholarships with the Dean of Students.
